I’m still buzzing from my book signing earlier this month. Eight years in the making, it was an occasion worthy of celebrating. It was a birth - the birth of a book and the birth of its author. A grand transition from inner to outer worlds. (See my book page to order)
I'll begin with something I need to get off my chest:
IT'S DONE!!!!! My book is done. Out there in the world. Born. Delivered. Ready to reach the hands of readers.
And naturally, at the completion of an accomplishment such as this, the question comes to mind:
How’d you do it?
So here’s my short answer:
It took 8 friggin' years.
Here's my longer answer, in list form:
I could write more, but I'll stop at twenty-seven. In the coming weeks, I may be inspired to expand on some of these items. Stay tuned.

This prompted me to yell a few choice four-letter words in an "I've-been-working-on-this-for-eight-years-and-you-mean-to-tell-me-it's-not-done-YET?" outburst of epic proportions (just ask my husband - he witnessed the whole thing).
At that point I had a choice. Because I am self-publishing, I could submit for publication as-is, or go through the whole thing once again and fix the errors.
