Writing from the heart

If you run a business, it’s crucial to have the ability write powerful content that reaches the heart of your clients.

Heartfelt writing is…
  • powerful
  • transparent
  • shows your human side
  • connects people to you and has them cheering for you
  • contains core messages that can be woven into all of your content: blogs, website, social media, books, VFOs, and more

But I hear it again and again: writing feels like a CHORE for many entrepreneurs. Our brains and schedules are already so cluttered with information and must-dos! Taking the time to sit down, catch our breath, and write good content seems impossible.

In addition, most of us were taught in school to write from the HEAD,
not the HEART.
  • Red marks all over our writing
  • Harsh criticism
  • So many rules of grammar to remember - YUCK!

All of these factors – limited time, fear of criticism, and boring grammar rules – conspire to stifle our creative flow and stop us in our tracks.

Does this sound familiar to you?

Here’s the good news....

Your best writing comes from your HEART, not your head.

Writing from the heart…
  • FLOWS WITH EASE.
  • SAVES YOU TIME.
  • REDUCES OVERWHELM.
  • GIVES YOU ENERGY.
  • is a form of SELF-CARE.
  • BUILDS your CONFIDENCE.
  • Taps your INTUITION and brings you CLARITY.
  • Generates POTENT COPY that draws clients and customers to you.

The ability to write from the heart lives inside each of us. We just need the right conditions to let it flow.

Here are a few ways you can create those conditions for yourself:
  1. Bust perfectionism. Write yourself a permission slip to write shitty first drafts.
  2. Set a timer. Writing under time constraints (10 minutes, for example) helps you stay focused and one step ahead of the inner critic.
  3. Let it flow. Don't worry about spelling, grammar, or punctuation. All of these can be cleaned up later. Stay in your heart, where the energy is.
